General Information for Trips

  • Looking for leaders: We're looking for more leaders so that we can have more trips. We have a lot of good birders who could help out. Refer to the current newsletter and contact the Club Field Trip Coordinator to volunteer.
  • QUESTIONS: Call trip leaders first if you need more information about any trip. If necessary contact the Field Trip Coordinator listed in the newsletter.
  • DIRECTIONS to meeting places:
*Walden Wildlife Habitat - off North 75th Street between Valmont and Jay roads. Meet at Cottonwood Marsh parking area.
**East Boulder Recreation Center - 5660 Sioux Drive. Take 55th Street from either Baseline or South Boulder Road, meet at parking lot west of the tennis courts.
  • CARPOOLING ON TRIPS: We would like to ask that all participants pay their carpooling fee up front to driver at the beginning of the trip. Many times at the end of trip we forget and hopefully this will help as gas continues to get more expensive. Please be prepared with the exact amount, and don't wait for driver to ask you for it. PLEASE DO IT. Thanks.
  • ON ALL OUR FIELD TRIPS: Always sign the trip sign-up sheet, bring water & a snack, binocular, hat, sunscreen, bug repellent, wear a hat and closed toe shoes. Be prepared for the weather. West Nile is still out there! Carpooling in city limits 1.00 , county-wide 2.00 or as listed to drivers. Call the leader if you need more information. Be prepared.
