Walden Wildlife Habitat. Meet at Cottonwood Marsh. Bring
binoculars, scope, field guide, snack and water. Dress for
the weather. Everyone welcome both novice and advanced birders.

DINOSAUR RIDGE HAWK WATCH
9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
See migrating raptors as they fly past the ridge at Morrison
hogback. Meet at 9 a.m. at East Boulder Rec Center, west
end of main parking lot and bird until 12 0r 12:30 return
at 1 p.m. Dress for variable weather, wear boots, bring hat,
sunscreen, hawk book, binocs, water and snacks. Steep but
short hike to top of the ridge and then 1ű2 mile walk to
check post. Call leader to let him know you plan to go or
if weather is inclement. Carpool $2.00 each.

Get an early start on Spring looking for winderfulshorebirds
and cute burrowing owls plus early waders and other migrants
. Vist various ponds and lakes, Platte River, and lower Latham,
Meet at 8:30 a.m. at Niwot Park N Ride at the Diagonal and
Niwot Road to carpool. Return by 4 p.m. Dress for variable
weather, bring liunch, water, snacks, binocks, scopes and
radios if you have one. Carpool $3.00 each to drivers.

INTERNATIONAL MIGRATORY BIRD DAY
7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Celebrate the Birds
! Join the Boulder Bird Club and the Wild Bird Center for
a fun morning in the outdoors: 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.
- Free coffee, juice and donuts and informative displays
by WBC & special IMBD & BBC T shirts for sale starting
at 7:30 a.m.
- One hour field trips led by BBC leaders at 8 a.m., 9
a.m. and 10 a.m.
- "The Big Sit", join us in the big sit as we
bird just Cottonwood Marsh for the morning to see how many
species we see by just staying in one place. Bring your
binocs and scope and a chair and "come sit".
Last year we had over 60 species!
Come alone, come with friends, come with family including the
kids!. Everyone is welcome.

ESTES PARK TRIP to the WILLOWS
6:30 a.m. to early p.m.
Meet at 6:30 to carpool to Estes Park to bird the Matthew
Reeser Bird Sanctuary and a short time in Endo Valley after
we eat lunch there in RMNP. Meet at north west end of Albertsonís
parking lot at corner of 28th and Diagonal Highway at 6:30a.m..
Return early afternoon. Or meet the gang at 7:30 a.m. at
the parking lot just north of the power plant in Estes Park.
Bring lunch, drink, snack and be prepared for cold weather.

Go birdwatching at dark! Meet at 7:30 p.m. at the Four Mile
Creek Open Space parking lot on Lee Hill Road, .03 mile west
of north Broadway. Bring flashlights, binoculars and jacket
in case it is cool. Carpool 1.00 each to destination in the
foothills. Will we find poorwills? Maybe. Lets go and find

PAWNEE GRASSLANDS
6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Meet at Niwot Park N Ride 6 a.m. Visit the Pawnee Grasslands
with master birder Bill and find those elusive grass land
birds such as Longspurs, Mountain Plovers, Burrowing Owls
and Orchard Orioles and Nighthawks. Then return home via
Lower Latham for shorebirds. Return around 6 p.m. A full
day of birding, so be prepared with lots of water, snacks,
lunch, hat, bug juice, sunscreen, binocks etc. Call to sign
up in advance. Carpool fee $10.00. A great trip and a must
do, if you have not been there birding!

Meet at 7:30 a.m. sharp at the Centennial Trail trailhead
at Gapter Road and Dimmit Drive. Dimmit Drive is just west
of Cherry Vale Road where Baseline curves to the east. DO
NOT block any driveways please! Walk the trails quietly to
spot BobOLinks in the tall grass along the Centennial Trail
and maybe drive further south off Cherryvale Rd. Bring Scopes,
binocks, water bug spray etc. Bird until about 10:30 a.m.

BIRDS OF GOLDEN GATE STATE PARK
7:30 a.m. to about 1 p.m.
Seek out nesting sapsuckers, woodpeckers, nuthatches, swallows
and bluebirds and other birds of this special area with a
master birder who knows all the bird songs. Meet 7:30 a.m.
at East Boulder Rec Center west end of main parking lot and
bird until about 1 p.m. Bring lunch and eat in the park.
Also bring binocks, bug spray, hat and sunscreen. Carpool
fee $2.00 each to drivers. Drivers must have a State Park
Pass or pay the daily fee out of the carpool fee collected.

55th Street from either Baseline or South Boulder Road, Meet
at west end of main parking lot.
***SAVERS parking lot at Table Mesa Shopping Ceneter off
Broadway 1/4 block south of intersection of Table Mesa and
Broadway.
CARPOOLING ON TRIPS: We would like to
ask that all participants pay their carpooling fee up front
to driver at the beginning of the trip. Many times at the
end of trip we forget and hopefully this will help as gas
continues to get more expensive. Please be prepared with
the exact amount, and don't wait for driver to ask you for
